Shooting Stars Begin 2026/27 Season With 2-1 Victory Over Inter Lagos In Southwest Derby

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan have started the 2026/2027 season on a winning note, defeating Inter Lagos 2-1 in an entertaining Southwest Derby.

The Oluyole Warriors made a bright start to the encounter, taking the lead in the 12th minute through Lucky, sending the home fans into celebration. Inter Lagos, however, responded strongly and restored parity in the 30th minute to make it 1-1.

Shooting Stars regained their advantage just before the break, with Sodiq finding the back of the net in the 46th minute to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.
